The best kept secret in music
Press
Ricci Swift, a Salem resident turned Portlander, is living the dream. His new EP, Bells, is a young artist's labor of love. Filled with acoustic guitar and throaty lyrics about love and growing up, Swift's songs blend pop and sentiment. - Willamette Week
Like a thief in the night, this Salem (OR) resident turned Portlander has a quiet way of ripping the rug out from under you, stealing your breath away between inhales and pick-pocketing your extraneous, disjointed thoughts, leaving you with a wonderfully Zen-like emptiness. While Ricci Swift's song have the potential to pick up momentum and tumble into gloriously jumbled textures and sonic landscapes, there is a kind of focused and stripped-down axis around which the album is cultivated. Drawing from such distant genres as bossa nova to Beatles pop, this six-track EP perfects indie strummy folk pop without fixating on it and limiting itself. Quite a charming little disc here. - Cdbaby.com

Bio
As five fragments from deceased bands, Ricci Swift was formed in the fall of 2005 as a tempoary side project that ended up recording an Ep and solidifying its lineup. Blending Folk with Pop as well as dashes of various other influences, the group has created a sound void of borders yet retaining a commonality throughout their set. The live show yields multiple instruments as well as harmonies that compliment the "stuck in your head" style melodies.
