Lyrics

Touched by the Hands of an Angel

Written By: Richard Byford

When the pain is more than you can bear
And life seems not worth living
A friendly voice, A soothing touch
A heart thats full of giving
They sooth your soul, they bring you peace
A nurse without a halo
you've been touched by the hands of angel

In room number 805
Missy lies there dying
She always has her smile on
instead of tears and crying
the doctors and the nurses
make her time worth living
She's been touched by the hands of an angel

Old George in number 904
His cancer makes him angry
He shouts a lot, he never smiles
His illness makes him crazy
As the nurse holds his trembling hand
And makes his life worth living
He's been touched by the hands of angel

In this hi-tech age of cold machines
When we are just a number
A single touch from a loving hand
Can lift our souls up higher
They're all born with a special gift
They help give our lives a purpose
And You've been touched by the hands of an angel

From Where I Stand

From Where I Stand by Richard Byford (BMI)

From Where I stand I can see that life's not easy
From Where I stand I can see the writing on the wall
Through the years along life's long and rocky strand
You offered me a guiding light I can see from where I stand

From where I stand you were sometimes less than caring
From where I stand I watched you grow to where you are today
Through the years the sun would shine bit it woiuld rain again
Our friendship never faltered, I can see from where I stand

Chorus....From where I stand you'll be my strength if I grow weaker
And shine the light when the night is growing dark
When I'm tossed on life'scold and stormy ocean
I can feel you take my hand I can see from where I stand

No matter what the time
No matter when you call
I'll be standing there to lend a hand when you fall

Chorus

From where I stand I can't pretend to have the answers
From where I stand you write the words I'll sing the songs
Through the years with respect we'll understand
And you'll always stay my friend I can see from where I stand
Yes you'll always stay my friend I can see from where I stand

Malala Will Rise Again

Malala Will Rise Again! By Richard Byford 11/12/2012

I have the right of education
I have the right to play
I have the right to learn
I have the right to say
I have the right to go to market
And I have the right to be me
You have destroyed my youthful innocence
And now I am a woman - And I have the right to be free

Your bullet missed its mark
And I will not die
I am a girl with a dream
My dream takes flight
I am 14 years old and my name is Malala

Don't tell me that I cannot learn
For that is my right
Your hatred gives me strength
And My dream keeps me alive
I am 14 years old and I am Malala

The history of Islam
Is filled with learned women
Islam firmly guarantees
That all knowledge should be shared equally
So why is it forbidden for me to learn
A bullet will not quiet my voice
I am 14 years old and I am Malala

And as I lie here in this strange place
I feel the love from around the world
One day I will be a politician
For the belief in my country is strong
I am 14 years old and I am Malala

The sands shift silently in the high desert wind
And my valley is shattered by the sound of guns
I cry for those who do not have a voice
But I am afraid of no one
I am 14 years old and I am Malala
And Malala will rise again
