I have known him since April 2007 during the production of Red Star Reggae at The Brat Stop in Kenosha. Richard was added to the show because of his ability to cover Brad Nowell and his ability to promote the event and himself. He has demonstrated outstanding talents in both marketing/promotion as well as entertainment spheres. He has captured the minds and hearts of reggae fans through his showmanship, stage presence and overall delivery. A staple in the Westosha music scene, Richard Cranium was formed in 1999/2000 in a bedroom, with a guitar, and a voice. By 2002, Richard Cranium had begun performing at a plethora of venues and party's local to southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

The band is now reformed with three original members: Chad Canfield on vocals, guitar, and programming; Jacqueline Gilliam on vocals, and Michael Myra on Bass. Their music is a post modern blending of genre blending styles such as rock, reggae, funk, punk, sideshow, and their own "hippie hop."

Richard Cranium has performed with such acts as Peeping Tom, Secret Chiefs 3, Primus, Les Claypool, The Dresden Dolls, Amanda Palmer, Saul Williams, The Flaming Lips, Devotchka and Slightly Stoopid. Venues and festivals they have performed at include The Rave, The Metro Chicago, Hedgpeth Fest, Chicago Peace Fest, and Frendly Fest.
