Memphis-born comic and Angry Birds Enthusiast Richard Douglas Jones started performing at open mics in Memphis to recover from depression, after a succession
of hapless happenings left him slightly misanthropic. He found redemption in comedy and audiences found his wildly inappropriate, caustic wit hilarious. Both a nice guy and a dubious miscreant, his delivery is a mash up
of keen observances on everyday life, dating, sex, politics, and race. RDJ is what happens when a nice guy dates a mean girl then makes jokes about…
RDJ, the first place winner of Big Funny Productions "Memphis' Funniest
Person Contest" (2010) has been increasing has fanbase from New York (Brokerage Comedy Club) to Florida (Howl at the Moon).
RDJ can still be found at an open mic or two honing his skills or playing Angry Birds fervently between sets. He’s can also be found talking about your children and his concerns for the future with his #sublife feature.
