New Light

Written By: Richard Gillard

V1 I get out, you get in, doors slam, tyres spin,
You move me.
Upside down and inside out, are you lying as you shout,
You rude man!
Down in volume, up, enraged.
I bend over to squeeze in your cage

V2 Sample this, sample that, trying on a different hat,
You soothe me.
Staying in, making out, we're as normal without a doubt,
The truth be out of our hands,
Bullshit walks hand in hand with the Man!
CH Turn the Prism by one degree and see the new colour it will be.
Take my hand and walk with me in our new light of a brand new day.

V3 Over here, over there, morning maddness, Monday stare, I can cope,
Without you, without feed, wish for a world without need,
You're kidding!
You have, I have, tune into!
The new light is whatever you bring to...
BR The table is round
Don't ask why
She wants you to know
You are her high

CH Twist the Prism by one degree and see the new colour it will be.
Take my hand and walk with me in our new light of a brand new day.

Fingertips

Written By: Richard Gillard/ Matthew Hardy/ Cameron Mckenzie

Fingertips
1. Remember me and you
How we used to argue
Without violence
One of our choices
Was not to raise voices
So our only option
Was silence

2.We used to wait until
It was too late
To apologise
Until under the covers
We rediscover
Our love was alive

CHORUS:
I don’t need the light on to see
Each thought on my skin it would linger
As we lay in the dark you’d write
Words on my back with your finger

3.We would not need to speak
Every night for a week
To communicate
But what I didn’t know
Is when you chose to go
It would seal our fate

CHORUS:
I don’t need the light on to see
Each thought on my skin it would linger
As we lay in the dark you’d write
Words on my back with your finger

BR: I lie awake, and I’d hear you breathe
The rain on the windowpane
Cries like tears
At the sound of your name

4.Those were the days
We’d speak six different ways
Without words exchanged
But when it came to the end (and)
We could not be friends
Only words remained

CHORUS:
I don’t need the light on to see
Each thought on my skin it would linger
As we lay in the dark you’d write
Words on my back with your finger

BR: I lie awake, and I’d hear you breathe
The rain on the windowpane
Cries like tears
At the sound of your name

I Believe

Written By: Richard Gillard

I Believe

I started out digging up the pieces of the puzzle
A couple went a missin and one was called belief
I was seeking some approval from those who’ll never give it
I was barking up the wrong tree
I was chomping the wrong bit
Then a good friend said ‘hey buddy, you’ve got to take it easy
You’ve got to learn to love yourself
I guess you’ve got to have belief

I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe
I believe, I believe, I bleed, I believe x2

I started seeing when I opened my eyes
I started breathing when I opened my eyes
I start believing when I open my eyes wide

When I was a child I was frightened by the dark
Now that I’m a man I guess I’m frightened by the light
But I hope that I will face up to what I fear
Because I believe that is why I am here

I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe
I believe, I believe, I bleed, I believe

I started seeing when I opened my eyes
I started breathing when I opened my eyes
I start believing when I open my eyes wide
