Richard Henry

Richard Henry (Platypus Promotions) has been a vibrant party promoter ever since the early 90s as a NYC youngster . Richard left New York in 2000 to move to Cali. He stopped in Austin on his way and never left. Richard started DJing in 2006 after leaving his punk rock band and looking to make a solo musical move. As a DJ, Richard is drawn to underground urban party music and has traveled extensively collecting tunes--New Orleans for Bounce, Baltimore for B-more house, and someday Brazil to increase his already outstanding Balie Funk collection. Past events opened for include John Spencers Blue Explosion, Man Or Astroman?, DJ Vadim, Mark Sultan, Dam Funk, Peanut Butter Wolf, Diplo, Nosaj Thing, Prince Paul, Clipse and Kool Keith.
