Bio
Richard King & The Tribe's ministry of reconciliation is an awesome experience for all to share in. The Oshkosh, WI based ensemble proclaims a new message of hope, salvation, and Gods grace as they minister songs like "One Chance" and " Only You". The single "Free" is a testament of their own individual struggles and desire to be at a place to freely express to God adoration and praise for the triumph that only He could create. These hand-picked seven vocalists and leader, share stories of determination, which are conveyed through their act of song., their spoken word, and their lives.
Director, Richard King, writes material that expresses the reality of a worshippers heart, the need to draw closer to his heavenly father, and a challenge to evoke change in Christian society through proactive means.
His hearts desire is to be an advocate for Christian Leaders, helping them to get out the message of winning souls and intimate relationship with Christ. His group exemplifies a radical generation of praise and worship, not afraid to step "Out of the Box" to reach a new generation. " I believe that the people are ready and open to receive Christ, we just have to be ready to hear what the have to say", Richard says concerning "Soul Development"
The Tribe's vocalists range from a variety of musical backgrounds, a large part of which were praise and worship ministries, choirs and other ensembles, and the members actively play roles in creating lyrics and vocal elements in their distinctive tribal, gospel and jazz influenced material. The Tribe consists of vocalists, Racheal McCormack, Monica Muñoz, Gretchen Christopherson, Caura Fitten, Michael Lawrence, Gloria Mlotshwa, and Charita King.
"Worship is a reminder of the victory we have in Jesus Christ that we have not yet seen" says vocalist Gretchen, as the group explains their views on why worship music is such an impact in their lives. Richard King and The Tribe endeavor not to be another ministry that can sing a great song, but moreover strive to be that compelling ministry that leaves a lasting impression of how God can move through willing vessels. "We want our songs to change people, not tickle ears, we need relationship provoking music that reaches the very heart of God."
