Richard McGowan is a professional songwriter based in Connecticut. He writes for other artists, as a solo performer and as a member of the well-known Connecticut band Second Street Saints.
McGowan is influenced by a wide variety of artists and writers, ranging from Jeff Tweedy and Elvis Costello to Toby Gad and Kara Dioguardi. He has written for pop, pop/rock, R & B, Country and singer-songwriter genres and his known for his versatility as both a lyricist and in his melodies. He has written over 300 songs.
McGowan is currently touring through Connecticut and the rest of New England, performing solo shows and shows with Second Street Saints. He is available for co-writing sessions and can be reached at Richjmcg@gmail.com.
