Bio

I started playing in Reno in 1979 and have played all over the west coast for the last 25 years. I've played everything from Zeppelin style rock to hard Chicago blues to lounge lizard music. My favorites have always been blues, rockabilly and '60s rock and country. Now I'm a rabid Outlaw Country fan, and my music is inching in that direction. Being a musician has given me a lifetime of memories to draw on for inspiration. Like the time in 1990 when a tall curly headed stranger asked to sit in on harmonica and blew the room away, then told us he'd just won the world championship harmonica blow-off and would soon have his own brand of harps. Turned out Lee Oskar wasn't lying. Or getting to sit in with great Portland musicians like Kinzel & Hyde and Bill Rhodes, and hanging out with the late great Paul DeLay and the Original Snakeboy. It's also been incredibly cool opening for Walter Trout, Smokin' Joe Kubek, Little Charlie and the Nightcats, etc. and meeting Jimmie Vaughan, Robert Junior Lockwood, Elvin Bishop and a lot of other incredible musicians both famous and working class Joes like me. In a band or solo I give 100% even on nights when the crowd is small.
