Richy Marciano

Born and raised on Detroits east side, Richy Marciano is a 22 year old Underground hip hop artist with a work ethic, and quality of music that is mature beyond his existence. At the age of 13 and influenced by the music of Andre 3000 and The Notorious B.I.G., Richy began his career as an artist while on his way to attending University Prep High School. Full of passion, ambition, and confidence but lacking an outlet, Richy started expressing himself through lyrics as the artist Richy Baby. Seeking a vehicle to nurture his talent Richy began reaching out for opportunities to display his skills and landed a slot on the roster of performing artists for Bobs Classic Kicks "The Air up There" in January of 2011. This showcase series hosted by Sheefy McFly has produced an elite Pedigree of artists and fed Detroits Underground hip hop movement with over 30 shows since 2010. Richys debut introduced 3 original songs to the world that would be the precursor to his first project entitled "Reflections". Released July 18, 2011, the project earned Richy the title of Xxclusive Mags Artist of the Week with its relaxed energy and seasoned content. Growing industry buzz driven by the popularity of his YouTube fan favorite single Protective Custody, led to over 12 live performances in 2011, including a noteworthy performance at U-Detroit Caf in August of that year. As an opening act for Chiddy Bang at The Shelter in January of 2012 alongside Ro Spit, and then solo for Chris Webby in March of 2012, Richy has proven he can hold his own onstage and in the booth. As a result, he has become an emerging Detroit Underground hip hop cult favorite with a diverse fan base, and an impressive body of work. Reviews for the lead single "My Niggas" from his second themed project Reflections II have already stabilized the impact of the mixtape on his following and led to a remix of the song featuring Early Mac, Ro Spit & Boldy James. On July 3, 2013 his highly anticipated "Emphasis On My City" mixtape dropped and has burned the underground & internet airwaves up!
