Bio
Music was essential to Ricks early years, both parents were talented musicians with Ricks father playing piano, organ and guitar and mother piano and organ. Growing up in a very Southern Baptist church Rick was exposed to gospel from infancy. His father gave him an old Gibson acoustic when he was 16 and taught him a few chords. From the start Rick wrote songs. Song writing was a way to express himself and
soon the tunes started to flow. Rick has been writing songs for over thirty years. He has opened for Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush, and played the Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival as well as the Baltimore Music Festival. Music is a life long passion and Rick runs a music school, training a whole new generation of kids to play. His most recent project was writing and recording tunes for wisehealth.com a children's health website.
