All these songs have been pouring out of me! I've been playing music for years, at times for profit but mostly for the joy of it; lately I've been composing music that has drawn the interest of some excellent players. I'm looking to expand my range of quality gigs that will provide opportunity to perform original music with a hot band, for audiences who appreciate same.
I started with rock&roll (Beatles/Buffalo Springfield), found the blues (Muddy Waters/ John Mayall), migrated to country (Byrds/Commander Cody), picked up bluegrass (Bill Monroe/Osborne Bros.), discovered swing&jazz (Joe Pass/Oscar Peterson/Gerry Mulligan etc etc).
What might set me apart? I'm writing new songs in the swing/old-time/ragtime genres that lend themselves to improvisation. Seems to me there should always be room for another great song...
