Summer's has a wide array of influences that can be heard throughout his music, including americana, country, folk blues, bluegrass and acoustic rock.

Summer has the ability to effortlessly switch from electric to acoustic (and do it with taste), which, as you know, is an art lost on most players.

Rick Summer is a regular at festivals such as the Kerrville Folk Festival, Makanda Vulture Fest and most recently The Red River Americana Festival.

A Live performance of Summer's original song "Sidewinder" (with canadian Samantha Parton on harmony) was picked up by Set 3 German TV and broadcast internationally from the Kerrville Folk Festival in 1996

Rick Summer has recorded with Chris Chandler, Owl Morrison, Danny Dolinger, Ky Hote, Laura Freeman of the Road Dog Diva's

And has shared stages with Nanci Griffith, Jack Hardy, Anne Feeney, Still on the Hill, Chuck Pyle, Chuck Broadsky, Mary Lou Lord & and more

(Laura Freeman contributed to the song "Sleepy Hollow" which broke all known records on Soundclick's Internet Charts as it remained in the Top 10 for a whopping 72 weeks!)

Summer is currently working on a new CD of 12 songs, The new CD will feature original Texas Blues, Cosmic Folk & Acoustic Rock.
