Bio
Ricky Ray Rascoe is a singer/songwriter Roots artist, origionally from Clarks Hill Indiana. He grew up being influenced and performing songs by artists such as John Fogarty with Creedence Clearwater Revival, Tony Joe White, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Chris Isaak, Bob Seger, John Mellencamp and B.B. King. His vocals are a mix of gravelly to smooth and always coated with that rootsy, bluesy, background. The music is a mix that includes upbeat swamp rock, blues, and somber ballads that make you want to reach for your prozac. He now resides in Rensselaer Indiana while writing and performing both Christian and secular Roots Music that aligns with the influences of his past. Three of his origional compositions recieved honorable mention in the 2015 International Songwriting competition. Those included "Ripped At The Seams" and "My Home" (Soft Rock category), and "Lost Sheep" (Christian category). "Dear Lord" won honorable mention in the May/June 2016 American Songwriter Lyric Contest. He fronted the groups "Crimson Shadow","Perfect Alibi", "Faster Gun", and "Solid Rock". He is a veteran of both the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army.
