Ricky Day and The New Covenant are the new school answer to old school funk soul and rock and roll. Rickys' backing band, The New Covenant are skilled and entertaining. Taking the essence of their influences Prince, Sly and The Family Stone, Stevie Wonder, Al Green and The Beatles and fusing them with healthy doses of hip hop and Ricky's own unique style, this group of musicians bring musicality and a sense of adventure to the stage. What sets them aside from current R&B artists is a love for true musicianship, what sets them apart from Neo-Soul acts is their sense of adventure and the reckless abandon in which they entertain. Ricky day is a multi-talented singer-songwriter-producer who is currently working on forthcoming projects for Lyrical Mile rap artist Quest, gospel vocalist Aaron Gray and female rocker Vanessa.
