Ricochet aka S.O.T.E.K.

Ricochet, born in Chocolate City D.C. and raised in P.G. County, MD, now holds the city of brotherly love, Philly Philly to be hme. During the 3rd year of college @ Temple University, by leading of the Holy Spirit, he decided that Philly would become home.

Growing up in the MD-DC area where Go-Go music, founded by Chuck Brown, was in musical prominence, with a desire to rap and love for hip-hop, he at times felt out of place on the Go-Go scene, though he liked the genre. Raised in Christian school from pre-k-12th grade, it wasn't until the end of 9th grade that his life made a significant change for the best. Facing expulsion from school for chronic behavior problems which lead to months at a time in detention and a few suspensions, God began to work heavily on his heart. A summer missionary program came to his school and presented the opportunity to work with inner city youth and share the Gospel throughout the summer. Though he had given his life to Christ at age 8 and he had a desire to work with youth, he knew his life wasn't in a position to lead others. After seeing God start to slowly make changes in his life, he decided to try the summer missionary thing. That summer God also allowed him to go to Kids Across America Christian sports camp where he rededicated his life to Christ and was introdcued to Christian Hip-Hop. Since that summer of 1997, he has been committed to living for God for real and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Hip-Hop.
