Bio

“…An uncanny resemblance that
suspends even my disbelief…” -Ray Manzarek

Anyone who has ever liked classic rock is now in for the “ride” of their life. Coming straight out of Philadelphia, we are Riders on the Storm, a tribute band, and have set sail to resurrect the music of The Doors with thunder. We’ve studied this legendary band for years and have captured the essence of their sound and performance verbatim.

We, Riders on the Storm, are currently on an East Coast tour displaying to all those die hard fans out there what The Doors were like in concert. Upon the conclusion of our 7th city show (New York), we will have a brief period away from the tour to put some finishing touches on our new live album, Soul Kitchen, second to Riders on the Storm: LIVE. What we are hoping for is to boost our publicity in order to gain the attention of booking agents out west and schedule some additional gigs. So far, we have had a very successful ride, selling out every show.

Up until this point, we have been together as a band for nine years. Our members are as follows: Dan Yeck-vocals, Mark Diviny-keyboards, Bryon Kelly-drums, and Greg Pension-guitars. We originally started off as a jazz band doing improv at local restaurants and bars. That all changed one summer evening after a long night of “drinking” and an inspiring listen of “Roadhouse Blues.” After hearing that song “under the moonshine,” we all knew we wanted to follow suit and honor The Doors as our next career move. Our success has far exceeded our expectations; we sold over 7,000 copies of our first album, self titled Riders on the Storm, have had sell out to all of our shows, received an album review by Alice Cooper on late night radio, and have won three tribute band competitions. However, we feel that our fame has not quite hit its peak and want to push further west so many more fans of The Doors can see the magic we bring to stage.

“…Not even I could pull off Jim Morrison as well as
Joe Russo does…”-Val Kilmer

Our goal as Riders on the Storm was to always represent The Doors not as a copy-cat but as a tribute to honor one of the greatest blues rock bands ever. Our records are all live and have served to foreshadow to listeners what we sound like in concert. As the tour goes on, we hope to attract more fans and listeners and celebrate what The Doors harbored to rock for a new generation.
