Ridic: Winner of Four Billboard World Song Contest Awards

Oakland, CA- July 3, 2005
Lyrical innovation combined with rhyme creation is the key to keeping hip hop fresh and captivating. Ridic, (short for Ridiculous Lyrics) is from Oakland, California, and he has created a new style of hip-hop and rap while still maintaining its original essence. Ridic’s album is titled “No Apologies”. He is the winner of four Billboard Magazine World Song Contest awards. Ridic has recorded with Numskull from the multi-platinum selling group, The Luniz, at Ridiculous Music Studios, and performed with Digital Underground after being discovered by Shock G backstage in a freestyle session. Ridic’s album “No Apologies” is # 13 on the nationwide Top 40 CMJ Hip-Hop charts and his 12” double A sided release is # 3 on both national charts. He has been rapping since preschool, and now he has mastered the art of rhyme, cleverly creating multidimensional lyrics with double and triple meanings.

With Ridic, there are no corny gimmicks, just quality music that everyone will want to bump in cars, clubs, and at home. He is already on mix tapes on the west and east coasts. John Acosta, Music Director of W.I.I.T, 88.9 FM Chicago states: “I got a copy of Ridic’s, ‘No Apologies’, C.D. and I must say that the flow is smooth and tight. It is the longest running #1 requested song on WIIT. I am getting 400 to 500 requests a week for 'No Apologies". Ridic’s album “No Apologies” has been voted four and a half out of five stars on the prominent hip-hop website, northern-ridaz.com and has received great reviews worldwide by everyone who hears it. “Ridic comes with solid flows on the mic, I like how he talks about things that people might not think about putting on a hip-hop album. He mixes gangsta rap, hip-hop, and R&B together to make the album different on nearly every song. I'm feeling this one to the fullest; a tight jam”(2SiccReviews). Dawana Wilson, Program Director of KNOZ 96.5 FM in Sacramento, says: “Ridic’s songs ‘Priceless' and 'No Apologies' are in rotation every 120 minutes and 'No Apologies' is #1 on our playlist". In addition to rapping, Ridic produces, engineers, and manages his record label, Ridiculous Music, LLC with his older brother, Nut Case. He plans to make his music international, collaborating with the greatest rappers and musicians of the world.

So this is the guy we're suposed to be pumping up ...well, well will do my friend really like the A side it's a track that you really want to listen to his lyrics and story, he's got a great message and the beat is something new original!!
Stallion –CFUV

I must have played the instrumental for “No Apologies” 100 times….I never get sick of it. Easily one of the best beats I have heard all year. Slow, sad, and chopped up just right. Ridic sounds a little absent-minded on the track. I like the conversational style, but the parameter of the rhyme varies and sounds thrown together in parts. Still, the beat carries this one with the strength of 10 men. I hope for more stuff like “No Apologies” on the album. I’m spinning that cut every show so far.
Edgie –WUNH

the track takes a page out of the Beastie Book flipping the track backwards.
Ridic has something to say. Content is there, maybe needs a remix.
"Priceless" is a summertime track for sure. This is a straight westcoast record.
Essentials- Sirius Wax 42/AOL Radio

Ok for me, I play it.
Pete Butta -WKPS

I did not like this single as much as people in Chicago did. I gained more respect for Ridic when I listened to the full album.
DJ Stereotype –WHUS

West coast rap. Cool.
Nate –WKDU

"Ridic: "No Apologies""

This was a solid release from Ridic. He definitely had a lot of different topics to spit about on this album. He mixes gangsta (rap), hip-hop, and R&B together to make the album different on nearly every song. Ridic comes with solid flows on the mic, I like how he talks about some things that people might not think about putting on a hip-hop album. This album brought Ridic to the table nicely. (In the song) “No Apologies”, Ridic comes with a solid mic style. (In the song) “Imaginary Gangsta”, he comes clean on the mic, dissing those who claim they are gansta, but aren’t. (For) “Fuck Customer Service”, this is my favorite song on the album, the lyrics he spits are real and I can understand where he’s coming from. “Nicky Fontaine”, this song is hella funny. A funny ass song, I’m diggin it. (The song) “Asylum” has the most banging beat on the album. This is a tight ass song, it’s a long track too. This is another one of my favorites. A very solid album overall. - 2 Sicc Reviews

He has been influenced by all forms of hip hop because he has been studying every song that he gets his hands on for as long as he can remember. This is why he puts so much effort into each song he makes and each bar he writes. With Ridic, there are no corny gimmicks, just quality music that everyone will want to bump in cars, clubs, and at home. He is already on mix tapes on the west and east coast.
After turning down numerous record deals, Ridic decided to start Ridiculous Music, LLC, with his older brother, Nut Case. In addition to rapping, Ridic produces, engineers, and manages his company with 110% intensity.
