Gotta Be The Swagg(single)

Riggz, Born Timothy Thompson, was raised on the South-side of Chicago. Like many, Riggz grew up in a single parent home and being a male and black was the start of the many obstacles that he would have to overcome. Living in an area infested with gangs, drugs, and violence hindered a teenage Riggz from being able to participate in activities that he loved, such as sports. He realized his love for music once he began listening to music with his sister, who loved R&B and rap music. This love of music became even stronger when his father rekindled their relationship and exposed him to blues, jazz, and "old school" dusties. By never taking to the harsh reality illustrated to him in his neighborhood, Riggz committed himself to positive surroundings and goals. His passion for music continued to develop and he decided to pursue a career in the entertainment business.
The first thing on his to-do list was to harness a unique and personal style. Once this was accomplished, his unique style enabled him to determine the message he wanted his lyrics to send.
His career started with the honor of opening the show for recording artist Mike Jones, and Windy City Live Internet Show. He continued with the Leon Rogers Comedy Showcase, ASCAP Compilation Cd and Future Flava for Pub Magazine.
Riggz has an ongoing commitment and passion for making music. As he states, "There is nothing like creating a song...others like it and become fans...." Pub magazine also offers its appreciation for Riggz and his music in an article entitled, "Riggz" that says... Riggz exudes a confidence like a seasoned veteran with lyrical cadence that grabs you by the ears and poetically educates you to his ghetto philosophies."
