Boston emcee Riggz Two Nice dropped his Motivated mixtape just yesterday. Riggz offers a wide array of music on the project hosted by DJ Bizzy. There is everything from conscious rap and love songs to twerk songs. It can be hard to believe that songs like “Before I Get Paid” and “Smooth Grooves” are by the same person. This is a testament to Riggz’s versatility as an artist. The album lives up to its name and the music definitely make you feel motivated especially tracks like “Broke (When I Get On)” and “Feel Good” which is a more personal song. The final track “Motivated” is the perfect the perfect conclusion to the project where Riggz delivers some great bars to solidify his place within hip-hop. Riggz Two Nice is an artist based in Boston who has Southern and West Indian roots. He combines swag with substance and doesn’t describe himself as a rapper but he can definitely rap and make a great song. “Bad Baby” is an excellent example of this. On this track he talks about relationships, fidelity and second chances. The production is smooth and compliments the lyrics well and makes for a great fusion of R&B and hip-hop. If you have attended a Mindspray show in recent months, you know that Riggz Two Nice and Tim Nihan have been performing a crowd-pleasing track that is dedicated to all of the supporting mothers out there.
Today, HITP is proud to officially premiere their collaboration “Momma Told Me” and the song certainly does not disappoint. Riggz and Nihan (who produced the track) showcase their natural chemistry together by spitting their Ma Dukes-focused verses which complement the feel-good style of the production. The catchiness of the hook alone will have you calling your mom just to say you love her.

Emanuel L. Riggins, who raps under the moniker, Riggz Two Nice, was born in Boston,MA in 1991. After singing and playing drums in church on an almost daily basis growing up, he decided to take these talents and apply them to Hip-Hop. His Baptist church roots are apparent through his sound. With the melodies and harmonies of a choir boy and the conviction of a preacher, Riggz' songs paint pictures of love, heartache, his coming of age, and last but certainly not least, swagger.
Coupled with his background as an actor, Riggz' ability to engage the audience creates a live music experience that concertgoers will remember for years to come.
