"I'm a bit under the weather but listening to Right Away makes me feel better"

There are many ingredients to Right Away's sound. Take a little bit of jazz, funk, groove, improvisation, rock and a whole lot of passion, put them together and you've got Right Away.
....with their combination of musical style, it's not surprising that their live show is superb.

- Jess Buns, The Echo Paper.

"Great show the other night.. Rochester has been dying for something original & you have the whole get-up.: great musical talent, but also your show itself is something to be seen. One half is amazing jams the other half comedy. You are a blast to watch perform.. Its almost infectious- a dance happy vibe you give off.

Bio

It all started with a boy named Bob McDevitt (Guitar,Vocals) who was a legend in his high school for having long dark brown hair, a down right pleasant disposition and a song called the Mexican Song. He was interested in starting a band and asked Geoff Matson (Bass,Vocals) if he wanted to learn how to play bass and start a band. After going through a couple of drummers, before they even started with them, they finally settled on Micah Waldron (Drums,Vocals) because he just always seemed available (it's kind of sad when you think about it). Within the next 6 years each would eventually discover that music is their true passion in life and put everything else aside to be in Right Away. Since they started they have played around Minnesota and Wisconsin at such places as the Fine Line in Minneapolis, MN to festivals such as NewPalooza in Black River Falls, WI and are in the process of booking a tour in the northeast for the fall of 2006. We hope all will enjoy us.
