"Johnny Ray single review"

Johnny Ray is the debut from Right Hand Left and moves with the guitar riff power (and shouty singing) of The Automatic.

Hugely uplifting, Johnny Ray has the same emo-hitting quality of Panic! At The Disco with lyrics such as "we get what we want/from time to time".
Another song on the single Re-invent Yourself, has the epic glory of Biffy Clyro and lyrics about going back in time and re-inventing yourself.

Singer and guitarsit Bobby Will sings: "I will re-instate my bank balance/so you can pay your money back". To him or a gangster we wonder? - Daily Record

Bio

Right Hand Left are a band formed under the cold grey skies of Aberdeen. With a range of musical influences including The Police, Death Cab For Cutie, The Rapture and Johnny Cash, its hard to put a handle on their sound.

Their first single, "Johnny Ray", sold over 1000 copies and received national airplay throughout the UK.

They have shared the stage with numerous high profile bands such as The Futureheads, Brakes, Frightened Rabbit and the Noisettes. They recently played several shows across Scotland with fellow Aberdonians The Xcerts.

2010 is set for the release of their second single “Lipstick”, which is due out on the 3rd of May and will be available in shops and online via iTunes.
