‘Let’s work with these lemons, let’s make lemonade’
This lyric from Riley’s first release sums up what Riley Beech is all about. Riley takes stories from the suburbs that take all of life’s faults and little moments and re-tells them with a sense of humour and optimism. Riley’s subject matter ranges from: Days where nothing goes right; getting lost in a shop; and living in a bad rental house; to honest love songs. Riley’s music is a snapshot of life through the lens of one person. Suburban folk-pop.
Riley performs as a solo act singing and playing guitar (which is sometimes exchanged for a ‘Ganjo’).
Riley released his first solo EP in 2013 ‘Lemonade’ which was featured Riley on vocals, guitar, piano, percussion and production. The EP is available online through Bandcamp, iTunes, Spotify and more. The CD can also be purchased at live events.
