ENGLEWOOD -- Riley Pierson hopes her songwriting and singing will be discovered soon, and those around town who have seen her perform are hoping her dreams come true.

Her demo CD is out and ready to be shipped.

The 19-year-old lifelong resident of Englewood is well-known among her family and peers as an accomplished vocalist.

And her father, Louis Pierson, who runs Amber Lake Wildlife Refuge, where Riley grew up, said she wants nothing more.

"'No Turning Back'" is the name of her CD," Pierson said. "And that's what I'm encouraging her to do. Vocals are just who she is."

Riley Pierson is hoping to use the four-song CD, consisting of mostly hard pop music with an R&B influence, to market herself to large record companies.

In Lemon Bay's award-winning 2004 production of "Seussical -- The Musical," Riley was named best supporting actress and best vocalist by her peers.

She has always liked singing for others, she said, beginning with her performance of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" at the Community Presbyterian Church's Christmas Pageant when she was 5.

Now she's a young woman with a list of nearly 50 performance experiences, awards, shows and community singing events behind her.

Among her many achievements are superior ratings in duet musical, solo musical, small group musical, and large group musical for both state district and showcase awards.

Riley also performed in "Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," "Anything Goes," "Babes in Toyland," "Kiss me Kate," "The Wizard of Oz," "The Madwoman of Chaillot" and "Jungle Book in Concert."

Riley was awarded best supporting actress for her performance in "Kiss me Kate."

She was president of the vocal department at Lemon Bay High School and received "Best Chorus Member" from the department.

Riley also has been able to showcase her music for Hard Rock Academy.

Local charities have invited her to sing, and she has performed the national anthem at various sporting events throughout Florida.

She sings in Italian, French, Spanish, Latin and English.

Riley doesn't keep her talents to herself, though. She shares them with others. She was a counselor at Starz Choice Dance Academy Summer Camp, Venice Little Theatre and LBHS Summer Theatre.

Riley has her own company now, called Fayme Entertainment in Orlando, where she is vocal coach, pageant coach, singer, songwriter, arranger and producer.

"It's an artists' development company," Riley said. "I try to give confidence in their performance."

That's what Riley said she's good at, because it is known that her performances are full of poise. - Englewood Sun Herald

""Let's Get Faymous" Benefit Concert"

Riley Pierson and Fayme Entertainment will present a Benefit Concert, "Let's Get Faymous, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 10 at Indian Mound Park on Winson Avenue in Englewood.

The event will feature three recording artists of different genres: The Chris Walker Band, an experimental/classic rock/jam band based out of Englewood; Da Kidd, a radio-friendly (lyrically clean) Hip-Hop Artist from New York; and Riley Pierson, a female Pop/R&B artist originally from Englewood. As well as a special, one-of-a-kind salute to Veterans of the Armed Forces. A $5 donation on the day of the concert will be appreciated.

The goal of the benefit concert is to raise community awareness about the positive impact music can have on people's lives, especially the youth of this generation. A portion of the proceeds will go to a National Non-Profit Arts Awareness Foundation. It is also hoped the concert will raise funds to enable the continued efforts of Riley Pierson's singing career. - Englewood Sun Herald

Riley Pierson, 22 years old, has been on the grind since age twelve when she first started singing professionally. From Southern Florida, Riley grew up sharing her voice with the masses. She has performed at local charity events and has also sang the National Anthem at various sporting venues throughout Florida and New York. Riley has showcased her talent everywhere from Hard Rock Live for Hard Rock Academy to performing the lead role in many of her nationally recognized high school musical productions, where she also won many awards including "Best Vocalist" and "Best Supporting Actress'' in 2005. She was classically trained at age seven and has experience singing and recording in many different genres of music. She also has a very unique acoustic sound, proving that her live show is just as dynamic as she is, plugged in or not. Heavily influenced by a plethora of female artists such as P!NK, Beyonce, Faith Hill, Kelly Clarkson and Joss Stone, Riley still manages to find her own voice and identity in her music. But every now and then, Riley can still be found in her bedroom, hairbrush-in-hand, belting out her favorites; never forgetting where she came from. Riley Pierson is ready to impact the lives of young people all across the globe and she has a lot to offer. Her faith, and passion for music and commitment to her own vision is the driving force behind what makes her a great artist.
