Bio
Rio Bamba has a distinct and impressive sound. Our instrumentation, style of playing and presentation are quite unique. Rio Bamba can play soft and gentle or hard and strong depending on the venue.
We have played in top Chicago venues including Cellular Field, Carnivale, Alhambra, Festivals and weddings.
Brazilian songs are sung in Portugese. Other songs are sung in Spanish, Russian and French.
Members in the band exhibit a wide variety of playing styles and experience having performed with everyone from the Harry Connick Jr. to members of the MC5.
