R.i.P The Just Vibe E.P.
SCOTTISH hip hop just moved up a gear.
Dundee rapper and producer Sean Mulholland (aka Ripped in Pieces) wanted to create something feel good and I've got a massive grin on my face.
The opening track I'm Gonna Make You Want Me is unadulterated joy helped by a banging rhythm and a perky harpsicord
As close to a Scots Eminem as I've heard, Sean's cheeky delivery takes from the world's most famous rapper and adds some Tayside class.
And then the chorus, sung by Sean, kicks in.
It's a massive anthem ..... . as he promises "We're going to get crazy this time".
The EP isn't all high tempo. The rapper kicks back on Break Back's Baby, a tale of lost love locked in with a simple Milli Vanilli pop
Waiting For You has a laidback beat but Ian Brown-style lyrics.
This is incredible stuff.

We are Dundee based 4 piece hip hop band R.i.P (ripped in pieces). R.i.P very recently formed as a brand new band consisting of 1 rapper/producer/keys, drummer, guitarist, and bassist. In the past 12 months, have racked up many good airplays on BBC Radio 1 Introducing, In-Demand scotland, In-Demand uncut with Jim Gellatly, and featured on a live session slot during Stuart Websters prime time morning show on local radio station Tay FM. what sets us apart from other bands...? good question. i cant comment on other bands but all i can say is that we do this to bring you nothing more than big, quality music that will anybody away live! and on cd of course though
