"very catchy, narrative-like singing."

very catchy, narrative-like singing.
author: Keith
I enjoyed the creative side of the lyrics... typically as a guitarist I focus on the music side and ignore what the song is saying but I enjoyed some of the poetic lyrics on several of these songs. The third track is my favorite, a fine example of mixing a sort of casual, almost spoken word type singing with a heavier rock sound. I found the lyrics stuck in my head and my girlfriend eventually told me to stop singing the "I think you know song." Good album.

"Up and Coming May 14th"

Thursday, May 14th. All Bets on Death, RIPSPACER, Indecisive Rhythm, Perfume
(The Funhouse, Seattle) Local trio RIPSPACER are a much mellower proposition(compared to ABOD, mentioned earlier in the article), playing tuneful, semi hard rock full of crunch and hooks. You may like them if you have Alice Donut and *Apes in your iTunes or on your shelves. DAVE SEGAL of The Stranger May 14, 2009, Page 50, (Volume 18, Issue Number 35).

*The Apes are a quartet from Washington DC who create a raw and primal bombast of hard-rock mysticism and thunder with the power of heavy baritone. - The Stranger

Bio

Former east coast guitarorist Paul Wayne has joined forces with Seattle musician/producer team Geoff Ott and Jonathan Plum of London Bridge Studio to bring you RipSpacer. This fortuitous line-up offers the full ROCK experience with explosive guitar-laced attack and release combined with Paul’s self-styled lyrics, Jonathan’s gun-fire drumming, and Geoff’s deep driven bass.
