Bio

Guitarist-Singer-Songwriter Rique Colón will release a recording production revamping himself into Latin Pop.

After 10 years of his previous tropical pop oriented recording ‘Sentido Tropical’ (Colono Records, 2006), Rique is reinventing his style of music but also twisting his artistic identity. His upcoming album (Amuleto, 2019) is more rock oriented. The sound blends a combination of Latin Retro Rock and powerful Pop Ballads all framed on a profound songwriting.

Rique, which is a Berklee College of Music Alumni, has a thorough understanding of his musical concepts and goals on his career. After releasing his first recording Rique has performed on numerous presentations in his native Puerto Rico but internationally. He has performed over 2,000 presentations resulting about 150 performances per year.

Rique Colon’s new album ‘Amuleto’ was recorded both in Puerto Rico and Los Angeles, California. The recording was produced by Rique himself and his partner Uziel Colón which both met at Berklee College in Boston, MA. The mixing was taken care by Multi-Grammy winner Benny Faccone and mastered by Tom Baker.
