Biography

Singer songwriter Rissa brings a new breeze in the genre of country music. Her single Don’t wanna runaway off her self titled album tributes a blend of her love for country, pop and soul music. Musical talents such as Loretta Lynn, Ray Charles, Carly Simon and Aretha Franklin, have all inspired her since she was a young girl.
Rissa was born on September 26, 1989 in Clearwater, Florida. She became curious about country music after her mother bought Coal Miners Daughter home for movie night. The raw talent and tenacity that Loretta Lynn endured left a memorable impression on her. She began performing at small venues in her hometown singing pop and soul music. By the age of 19 she began to watch the country music channel. This is when she realized that she wanted to focus on becoming a country music singer. She loved the fact that the artist would tell a story in their music.
Follow her journey on an independent 2011 country music tour promoting her album while showcasing her songwriting skills and raspy vocal talent while expressing her stories.
