Bio

With influences spanning from early rock ‘n roll, to many of the modern-day greats, RiverBend makes no apologies for their unabashed delivery of great rock riffs and memorable melodies to audiences the world over.
Formed in 2004, RiverBend’s roots start in the late nineties, cutting their teeth on the classics while attending Seattle area high schools and dreaming of the life lead by so many of their heroes. Playing in local bands such as Brandi Carlile, Eleventhour, and Remedy helped the future members of RiverBend develop the talents that give the band its unique sound and style.
After the formation of RiverBend and during the band’s infancy, they rehearsed diligently and performed few shows, focusing instead on writing, recording and developing their sound, and after the completion of the band’s current lineup in 2006, RiverBend began to perform at all the top tier-clubs in Seattle, bringing their polished sound to a Seattle rock scene left disillusioned by the disappearance of nearly every great rock band said to have “made it” from the once bustling musical Mecca.
In November of 2007 RiverBend released their debut EP to a capacity crowd at the historic Showbox, located near Seattle’s famous Pike Place Market, after opening for rock band Daughtry three months prior, to another capacity crowd, at the same venue. Since the EPs release, RiverBend has been honored by performing at the 2007 and 2008 Layne Staley Tribute & Benefit shows, winning KING5-TV’s Best of Western Washington Contest in 2008 and 2009, also winning the Best of Western Washington Local Band Showcase in 2009, hosted by local rock radio legend, Bob Rivers. The band has continued to pack venues in Seattle and all over Washington, and as far away as Los Angeles, CA, where in 2008 they played to a capacity crowd at the famous Knitting Factory in Hollywood.
The demand for RiverBend is growing worldwide, and after the release of the band’s music for digital download and growing attention from various world media outlets, RiverBend has stated its intentions to make a live DVD-video release in 2010 as well as to release a new full-length studio album. The album would mark their first studio release since 2007 as well as the band’s first full-length studio effort. An official release date has not yet been announced.
