River of Suns

River of Suns was formed in late 2006 by longtime friends Padric Payton and Asa Anderson. Padric and Asa have been playing music together since they were 15. They have played in various projects together switching roles and instruments throughout the years. River of Suns began when Asa moved to Berkeley, Ca. in '06 to live with Padric while he finished college. Their small studio apartment was turned into a recording studio and almost all free time was spent writing and recording about 12 full length tunes. All the songs were written, recorded, produced, and all instruments played by the two friends over the course of a year. There were many nights of 3am inspiration and obsessed musical madness. Asa slept on a couch for a year - good man. In summer of '07 Padric and Asa relocated back to their hometown of Los Angeles with the intention of forming a full band to reproduce the lush sound they achieved in their recordings. Around that time the accomplished and funkalicious Sean Winchester joined the band on drums, which has been playing regular shows throughout Los Angeles, honing the sound and vibe destined to make you say, "mmm tasty". Recently, some of River Of Suns' songs were chosen to be used in the new internet tv show "Quarterlife". River Of Suns is currently independent and unsigned and working hard.
