"Last but not least, the Riverview Ramblers. Now what can I say, but WOW!!! These guys really have it together & everyone loved them. They had two encores and they also helped Bob Flynn in raising donations for the N.E.C.M.A." - Brandy Wait

"The Ramblers performed at the [Bluegrass Showcase] and caught the attention of Dan and Jan at the Roadhouse. They landed a few gigs, the first of which was on Sunday, February 11th. Catherine Benson, Joe Gero, and I attended the show which was great! This band has a following that is unbelievable. The Riverview Ramblers drew a crowd that was almost as BIG AS THE CROWD OUR SHOWCASE HAD DRAWN. I ENCOURAGE ANYONE THAT IS IN THE AREA WHERE THIS BAND IS PLAYING TO STOP BY AND GIVE A LISTEN. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. THEY WILL BE PLAYING AGAIN AT JAN'S ROADHOUSE ON SUNDAY MARCH 18TH [2007] 4PM-7PM." - Brandy Wait

“They’re a regular at our functions. The Riverview Ramblers are the only band that we’ve asked back each year for the Lock 7-12 Canalfest Traditional Music Festival. Full of energy, it’s a group guaranteed to get your toes tapping!!” - Pat Barrot, Site Manager of the Mabee Farm Historic Site

Bio

It really began in the Adirondack Mountains a few years back when Bill and Gene hammered out "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" for the first time around a raucous campfire. There's nothing quite like the sound of acoustic guitar and banjo under a clear night sky amid the pines and hardwoods surrounding Lake George. Thus began the Riverview Ramblers... so named because at one point they all lived in some proximity to Riverview Road, overlooking the Mohawk River in upstate New York (near Albany, Schenectady, Troy).

The Ramblers play a variety of tunes including traditional bluegrass, newgrass, originals, and recognizable covers. Their high energy performances feature vocal harmonies, blistering solos, and enough variety to please audience members of all ages. They have steadily built an excellent local following and have appeared regularly at noted venues such as The Van Dyck (legendary jazz club) and at the Freedom Park Summer Concert Series. This is accessible bluegrass music... full of warmth, spontaneity, and camaraderie!
