Bio

You may have to listen twice to catch all the metaphors this prolific up and coming star will throw at you. There is no doubt that Riv Locc will soon take the music scene by storm. Representing South Kansas City, the Go Getta is bringing his originality and realness to the game. This lyrical assassin speaks from the soul and therefore captivates his audiences and keeps them longing to hear what he will say next. His intelligence and wisdom which may otherwise be overlooked is portrayed through his lyrics and demands admiration.

Born Marco Tyler on March 6, 1982 in Kansas City, Missouri, he’s Duce4 from KCMO. He was first featured on Macc James “Premeditated” at the age of 15, which did an exceptional job on a local scale. He also appeared on “UNDERTAKERS” which Chop It Up Clicc dropped in late 1999. He later performed from behind the walls of the 'State Pen' to "MayDay Beach Partys". Incarcerated from 2001-2004, Riv says being isolated from society enhanced the degree of his lyrics. He exited the state pen with a unique sense of ambition and a overwhelming sense to grasp success. Upon his release in July 05, '"4Much" was released and made a euphoric impact on Kansas City. He has since performed with various West Coast artists. In November 2005, GOODLIFEENTERTAINMENT held a talent search of 1500 contestants and he won 3rd place. In 2006, he was featured on TurfBros, FatBoyChub, AR15, KingJames and 816 BlokcStarz Compilation, the last of which was put together by his big brother Bluey, the CEO of Vertigo Records.

Currently representing Vertigo Records, he has the most experience on the label alongside Boy Geneyus, P Tha Thizz Kidd, and De Are. Upcoming events Riv Locc will be attending include The Southeastern Music Community Festival (June 2007) which will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina
