RJ Thompson is a British singer-songwriter. Thompson came to prominence in 2014 after touring with UK pianist Jools Holland and performing at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall.
2015 sees RJ tour the UK & Ireland with Jools Holland, and 22 dates as the support act to renowned singer songwriter Joan Armatrading.
RJ's latest EP "House Upon The Hill" was released in November 2014, and has received positive press in UK newspapers The Times and The Guardian, as well as specialist guitar magazines Guitarist and Acoustic Magazine. Tracks from the EP received UK national airplay on BBC Radio 2 and 6 Music, and regional airplay on a large number of commercial, local and student stations.
Over the past few years, RJ has also toured with artists such as Gabrielle Aplin, Deacon Blue, Gabriella Cilmi, The Proclaimers and many more.
RJ Thompson is endorsed by boutique amplifier company Two Rock Amplification alongside guitar superstars John Mayer, Joe Bonamassa and Matt Schofield. He is also an endorsed artist with Lowden Guitars.
