Ronnie J. Sanders was born in Dallas, Texas on March 3, 1982 to Anita Lyons Sanders and Ronnie Sanders Sr. At an early age, R.J. loved to sing. By the age of five, he was singing in the choir at the True Faith Missionary Baptist Church where his grandfather, A. C. Lyons, Jr., was the Pastor.
R.J.’s purpose and heart desire is to uplift, encourage, and lead individuals to God through his music ministry. During his high school years, he organized gospel choirs in both Dallas, Texas and Louisville, Kentucky. While living in Louisville, he joined the West Louisville Boys Choir and was also a part of Michael Young and Company. In addition, R.J. has sung back ground for Daryl Coley, Kurt Carr, Natalie Cole and Joe Pace and a host of other artist.
In September of 2006, following the direction of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, R.J. and Company was launched. Giving God the glory and the praise, the Company consists of nine anointed singers and three renowned musicians. R.J. and Company’s ultimate goal is to create an atmosphere of worship throughout the world beginning in his hometown of Dallas. Their vision is to “bring in another level of real and authentic worship that comes from the heart and to remind the people of God, and also those that are lost, that we are not only commanded to worship but we were created to worship-Him”. R.J.’s favorite scripture is Romans 8:28 “All things work together for the good of them who love the Lord”.
Because we live in a world full of trouble and turmoil, praise and worship is imperative to R.J. and his ministry. John 16:33 says “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world”. R.J.’s prayer and hope is through his music ministry, hearts will be touched, lives will be changed and everyone will accept the urgency of unconditional love for one another. R.J. presently serves as the Minister of Music at New Beginnings Community Fellowship (a place where you can start all over again) in Cedar Hill, Texas where Rodney B. Frazier is the Senior Pastor.
