RJ Cloud

Originally from Atlanta, GA, RJ spent the much of the 1990’s playing acoustically on the east coast. With years spent in the southeast and mid-atlantic regions, RJ played small venues from Washington DC to Atlanta. In 1996, RJ moved to Tucson, AZ. He has played in Arizona bands such as The Gallery, Epiphany, Lizzie Ankst Band, Area 51, Live the Day, Spirit Familia, and with Liz Painter.

The story would not be complete without noting that the last EP and the forthcoming new CD in January, are songs recorded by the band while RJ was testing, developing and prototyping new ribbon microphones with the legendary microphone designer, Stephen Sank. The collaboration eventually led to a partnership and the formation of the new Cloud Microphones company, a Tucson manufacturer of new handmade boutique ribbon microphones based on evolving the RCA 44 /Bk-11 microphone design line.

As for the music, it has the heart and soul of a searcher and a dreamer. With some of Tucson’s finest musicians sharing the stage, the set comes alive with passion and artistic expression.
