Noted as "The Twosome With a Nu-Sound" Rosie (19) and Arneta (18)...aka RNA The Messengers... are young, but power packed. They are the latest dynamic duo of urban gospel. Singing of the goodness, grace, and greatness of God and the Lord Jesus Christ, Rosie and Arneta have captivated audiences of all ages.
Born to Apostle Alex D. Byrd and Evangelist Sherrie "Lady" Johnson-Byrd, RNA The Messengers were predestine to praise and glorify God with their voices. Starting at the young ages of 3 and 4, Rosie and Arneta began singing in the Sunshine Band at the All Nations Christian Center C.O.G.I.C in Round Rock, TX. Their first duet was by Minister Jeff Jacobs, "If You're Happy and You Know It, Say Amen"
Innovative, fresh, and independent RNA The Messengers have had the opportunity to be tutored by and sing with many gospel greats, such as: Chester "D.T." Baldwin, V. Michael McKay, Bishop Charles Lyles, DFW-Mass Choir, Austin and Dallas-GMWA Chapter Choirs, Mt. Sinai Youth Choir, and presently the Abundant Life Church YEP Choir.
Additionally, they were privileged to participate in the Austin Urban Music Fest and Soul-Tree Collection's 08, 09, and 2010 festivals. As part of the groups "Urban Soul" and "Muzik Hertz", Rosie and Arneta have graced the stage and opened for Trey Songz, CAMEO, Boyz2Men, Jeffrey Osborne, Morris Day and Tyme, Sugar Hill Gang, and many others. Also, on December 5, 2008 at the Austin Music Hall (Austin, TX), they partnered with Mariah Roberson and Blue Mist Band to be the opening act for the legendary, Grammy Award Winning... Anthony Hamilton.
RNA The Messengers are currently working on their first CD project entitled, "Available". This genre-crossing, gospel grounded musical collection is the next best selling duo cd. Collaborating with instrumentalist Russell Lee (Platinum Producer for Baby Bash and Frankie J) and "Dr. Keys" Chris Spivey of Spi-Klin Productions this master piece will top the charts!
