Roach Lord

Roach Lord was formed in 2017 when three friends (Lukas, Alex, and Ira) started writing and recording music together in each other's living rooms and in rented out practice spaces around Toronto. Seeing an opportunity to have a go at doing what they love most, in January 2018 the band started performing at venues in and around Toronto. After about six months of playing around the city, the band was sent a gift from the roach lord himself in the form of guitar shred king, Brant Wladichuk, who rounded out the band's lineup. Roach Lord's sound has grown and matured over its short life, developing into a tumultuous and brooding mix of Post-Hardcore, Post-Punk, and Rock and Roll that combines themes of melancholy and self-loathing with messages of hope and self-care. With dynamic songs that interweave manic lyrics with volcanic choruses and breakdowns, a Roach Lord show will get your blood pumping, eye twitching, and head banging.  

The band has released two songs to-date, and are preparing to release their first three-song EP, entitled Max May, in 2019.
