The best kept secret in music

Cincinnati area's Roadblock, longtime performers and friend of MultiFestival, brings an instantly recognizable classic rock feel to the table. Reminiscent of 60's 70's icons Jefferson Starship, Big Brother & The Holding Company and others of the era, Roadblock offers a clean, simple and straight forward look at Rock-N-Roll. And that indeed is a good thing! Always a fun, especially Roadblock-flavored good time!

Bio
We met in college in the early '90's at Morehead State University in the beautful mountains of Eastern Kentucky. Our musical influences converged over the onset of grunge and acoustic folk music of the time. As our friendship developed over the years, we began writing music together.
We are completely independent, managing and booking ourselves. We have performed throughout the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area, at such varied venues as The Southgate House, Madison Theater, Stanley's Pub, The Rohs Street Cafe, and many more. We have also performed in Dayton, Columbus and Yellow Springs, Ohio. We enjoy playing at benefits and fundraising events for causes we support, such as breast cancer research, Adopt-a-Minefield, VH1's Save the Music Foundation, Special Olympics and Cincinnati's Flying Pig Marathon. We look forward to completing our first full-length studio recording in 2005.
A few of our influences are: Indigo Girls, Buffalo Springfield, the Black Crowes, Built to Spill, Genesis, Soundgarden, Heart, Janis Joplin, Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt, Etta James, John Lee Hooker, Nirvana, Robert Johnson, Manasas, Black Sabbath, Freedy Johnston, Loretta Lynn, the White Stripes....
