Discography

Roadside Traditions is proud to say that they have completed a
six song EP called Heavy on my Feet. Recorded at Prairie Sun studios and produced and engineered by Matt Wright. The sound they produced is exactly the vision they had when what were at first hired guns initially heard Joe DiOrio's raw, soulful down home country rock songs. While the band may have come together by accident or providence, the sound they crafted is no accident but is the result of purposeful collaboration and a strong idea of what the songs needed in order to come alive.

Bio

Roadside Traditions started out in Northern California by accident so to speak. Singer/Songwriter Joe DiOrio, was playing a solo show at a local winery and found a drummer, Scott Taylor, to sit in. They were soon joined by Scott's long time bass player friend Dave Straight, who brought in their mutual ally Larry Jones on pedal steel and electric guitar. The four of them soon found themselves crafting a familiar sound with fresh words. Roadside Traditions music has traditional story telling elements with dynamic and interesting pop-rock oriented arrangements. Their music gets people out on the dance-floor and no two songs sound quite the same. Their influences include Tom Petty, Robert Earl Keen, Steve Earle, The Byrds, John Mellencamp, John Fogerty and many more.
Driving rock beats combined with dynamic arrangements, pedal steel, dobro and six string electric and acoustic melodic hooks coupled with three part harmony and Joe's strong poetic and personal lyrics and accessible rhythmic songwriting create an undeniably fresh Country Rock style with wide appeal.
