Rob Metaphor

Rob Metaphor is a 20 year old Hip Hop/Rap artist from Chicago,Il. He began rapping at a very young age due to his parents both being involved with music.His influences are Jay Z, Eminem, Big Sean, Pharell, and Tyler,The Creator. Metaphor first began gaining recognition for his talent by often rapping at school. In his 8th grade year (2007), he performed at his graduation ceremony, a song called "I Believe". In his senior year of High School he performed at his school's Homecoming dance" The Winners". In 2012 Metaphor released his first single video entitled "Coolin" which caught the eye of supermodel Jasmine Sanders, and R&B artist Quincy. "Coolin" was also viewed by former director of 106 & Park : Freestyle Friday, Pat Charles. Metaphor was then invited to audition for Freestyle Friday at last year's A3C Festival in Atlanta, GA in October of 2012. Metaphor was then chosen as one of the Finalist to perform at A3C showcase "Enter The Cypher". On November 9th 2012, Metaphor made an apperence on 106 and Park as a contestant for Freestyle Friday. Since then, Metaphor has toured in states such as New York, Nebraska, Illinois, and Missouri. In April of 2013, Metaphor performed at Def Jam's talent search where he was then praised by Def Jam A&R Tyrone Davis Jr. Metaphor's music style is versatile by the likes of making inspirational music and lyricism, also showing affection for women in his music as well. He also makes music that people can enjoy at parties and concerts. Metaphor strives to bring quality sound to the world of music.
