Bio

Hi, Im Rob Armstrong, a singer/songwriter/guitarist born and raised in a small town on the Massachusetts/Connecticut border, where I still reside. My music is best described as a mix of adult contemporary, country & rock. Influences include Keith Urban, Richard Marx, Bon Jovi, Matchbox 20, George Strait, John Michael Montgomery, and Neil Diamond, to name a few.

Starting out in the music scene playing guitar and singing background vocals in local rock cover bands, I eventually found my true calling and meaning in life which is to write good (hopefully great) songs, sing them with passion, and connect emotionally with whoever is listening. My preferred method of payment is goosebumps, smiles, tears, and an occasional rising of body hair.

After not having much success trying to assemble the right group of musicians in my area (at least not in my timeframe), I packed up my truck and headed to Nashville, where I thought it would be best to find the right sound for my songs. The 3-song EP Perfect Enough is the result of this August 2011 trip.

A recent SoundOut report from Soundout.com (Jan. 2012) rated the single If I Could Be a Love Song as Excellent with an overall market potential score of 84% and a strong Passion Rating.
