Past Tomorrow-2006
Hey Lady- Radio Single

Rob Baird and The Whiskey Reunion is a group of musicians reverberating an eclectic country music sound. As is evident in their brand new record, Past Tomorrow, the band’s style derives from a range of musical genres and influences. For example, the tracks “Just Carrying On” and “Long Shot Gamble” display strong rock n roll tendencies, while “Worth my Time” and when “You Come Around” draw from the band’s deep southern roots. Not to mention, the catchy “Hey Federali” and “Louisiana Saturday Night” are sure to be continued crowd favorites for listeners old and new alike.

Past Tomorrow is a refreshing mix of tradition and innovation. Rob Baird and The Whiskey Reunion has held its own in the Texas college band scene and hopes that this album will provide an opportunity to expose its music to fans outside the great state of Texas. As Baird notes, “The band has come a long way in the past year. We have found our own style, developing original sounds without denying our musical roots. We have had a great crowd and a loyal group of fans ever since the beginning and now we are ready to expose our music to a larger group of people. We are all excited about the record release, and the chance to appeal to a new crowd of music fans.”

Rob Baird and The Whiskey Reunion came together through a deep love for music. The members met at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Although Rob hails from Memphis, Tennessee, the other band members are native Texans. Rob initially formed the band with drummer, John Hallman, from Dallas, Texas. John has been playing drums for seven years, and grew up playing drums in jazz band and on the drum line at his high school. The duo soon recruited Kevin Christensen of Midland, Texas, to play Rhythm and lead guitar. Kevin comes from a well endowed musical family, so after losing the band’s original bass player, it seemed only natural to incorporate his two brothers, Kent Christensen and Mikey Christensen, to play bass and lead guitar.

Like most forming bands, Rob Baird and the Whiskey Reunion had its start playing covers. However, after only a handful of performances, the group decided it was time to take their music to the next level. Rob began composing and debuting new songs at the band’s house shows at the Aardvark in Ft. Worth. The crowds responded positively, and have been asking for more ever since. In Baird’s words, “the band has developed so much in the past year- we have developed a great chemistry, and settled into our live performances. We have learned how to put on a badass show. That’s what the fans want and what we love to do. Beer to beer, song to song, we want yall to come party with us!”
