Bio
From the sci-fi book series Animorphs, Chee means "Friend" in the Pemalite language. The Chee are completely incapable of violence or assisting with any activity that would lead to someone’s harm. the Chee fled to Earth, went into hiding, watching humans evolve along side of them.
Robbie Lee and the Chee formed after the success of an impromptu gig in 2008. After winning a local charity talent show, Robbie Lee sought out "The Chee". After a comedic misunderstanding, Robbie Lee and the Chee were born.
The Chee brings a powerful blues based jammy lead guitar punch with uniquely solid rhythms. Robbie Lee offers a folkie, alt. country, midwestern musical sensibility with a passionate, sincere lyrical writing style.
Whether covering your favorite forgotten tunes or weaving through their own tales, Robbie Lee and the Chee aim to get your toe tappin’ and get the Cheeness between us!
