Bio

Robbie Pickard steps onstage with a purpose. He doesn’t get up there and spout worn-out jokes about ordering at Starbucks and the naked old men in his gym’s locker room. Instead, he delves into his personal experiences to extract the real-life humor that everyone can relate to. He thrives on making people in the crowd elbow each other and say, “that’s so true!” Since his first performance in 2007, he has been quickly climbing the ladder of the Los Angeles comedy scene. His sharp, tightly written material, paired with his laid-back delivery, has been winning over audiences across the country.

Over the last two years, Robbie has built a strong, loyal fan base through his self-produced stand-up shows. He created his own comedy brand called “Liquid Courage,” which has quickly become a fixture in the Los Angeles comedy scene. Every month, he packs the house at the Hollywood and Irvine Improv Comedy Clubs, where he and some of the top comedians working today take the stage.

Three years ago Robbie started producing and hosting his own weekly show at his alma mater, UC Irvine. Monday Night Comedy @ The Anthill Pub has gone on to be one of the most successful recurring social events that the university has ever seen. Each week, over one hundred people watch Robbie work out new material and bring in top headliners from around the country. Even many graduates come back on Monday nights to catch the show.

With several TV scripts and pilots under his belt, Robbie is making a strong push in the writing and acting scenes. He has written and featured in many successful online videos. National Lampoon caught him onstage and immediately gave him a role in “Dirty Jokes: The Movie.”

Robbie can be seen performing nightly in the top comedy clubs in Los Angeles, and is also a regular performer on Comedy Juice—a show hailed by Sirius Satellite Radio as "the best standup show in the country.”
