In the summer of 2002 Cannillo toured 3600 miles performed in small clubs and the Famous Wild Horse Saloon in Nashville, to raise money and awareness for cancer.
Rob has had his face reconstructed to remove a non cancerous tumor. Even though it was not cancer, Rob has dedicated many performances to help people in need. He swore if he recovered from his situiation, he would pursue his music and use his music to help people when he could. - Orange County Sentinel

This is a real performer, a performer who is the song, no rock star trip here. After a life changing event 5 years ago, Rob has poured everything he has into his music, hoping his songs will move, inspire, motivate and captivate any listener. While Rob is proud of his 2 CDs, he is a live performer, feeding off the energy of the crowd. Rob has performed and continues to perform many shows for charity. In the summer of 2002 he completed a 3600 mile tour to raise money and awareness for cancer.
