"Rob Clove Brings Love and Vocals Back to R&B with his "Energy of Humanity" EP"

Rob Clove’s unique approach to R&B is both reminiscent of a golden time in the genre and yet refreshing and new. The New York –by way of North Carolina singer is gearing up for the release of his new EP Energy of Humanity on Christmas Day. The project explores the most powerful emotion we as humans feel –love. You get a feel of what love is to Clove with songs like “Sound of Humanity (Intro)”, “Letter to Self.”

Energy of Humanity marks the first time the singer has led his own project and written since starting his career in music. This EP means so much more than a collection of songs for the singer, it is his way to exam the idea behind people’s everyday decision making and how those choices help on the road of being content, or unhappy.

“I’ve come to believe that the difference is based on the foundation of our daily decisions; the competition of fear vs love. It appears that when choices are made out of love (in spite of fear), the results have profound rewards: joy, compassion, peace, hope, even prosperity. The power surrounding love has been shown to positively influence ideas, thought processes, and behaviors of individuals. This alone is the sole reason and inspiration behind this project.”

With his soothing vocals on songs like “Future Woman” and “Timeless People,” Clove is setting a trend for singing with soul and love to return to the forefront of R&B. The six-track project leaves you yearning for more from Clove and his band. With his instrumentation and velvet vocals, the content of this project is one to be passed down from generation to generation. You can play this with your mom and grandmother and also give your younger siblings and children a lesson of what R&B is about. Clove has captured the true essence of R&B with his debut EP, proving that R&B isn’t dead.

To be a young Black man in America today is a 24 hour, 7 days a week struggle. In recent years so many Black boys and men have been victimized, criminalized and hunted by the same system made to protect the basic American rights. For the last several years we have seen time and time again Black men, women and children die by the hands of law enforcement. Those incidents that have been caught on tape have played in the media over and over again, potentially traumatizing anyone exposed to this footage day in and day out.

R&B singer, Rob Clove has capture all of the emotions of Black America in one song called “Little Black Boy” from his Energy of Humanity EP. In the song he dedicated to Alton Sterling and his son Cameron. The song, although not an answer to today’s problems does serve as an amazing piece of music social commentary, just like Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On.” - Blame Ebro (Hot 97 Host Website)

"Rob Clove "Future Woman""

I am loving Rob Clove’s style.

‘Future Woman’ is a beautiful song as he has a fantastic voice and I am loving the live instrumentation. I get a bit of a John Legend vibe when I listen to Rob sing.

Rob wrote ‘Future Woman’ for his future wife and it speaks about being content with where one is in life right now. - Music is Life

"Listen to Rob Clove "Future Woman""

Recently, [Rob] had the opportunity in May of this year to open for famed hip-hop legend Nas. “Future Woman” is written to [his] future wife (wherever she may be in this world) and speaks about being content with where one is in life right now. More importantly, not counting down until that moment happens, but understanding you’ll find someone for your life when the time is perfect. - H-Wing
