I am working on getting onto the radio, but I have a garage full of songs just waiting to burst some bubbles.

Bio

My BIO For everyone who is in the dark about who I am, let me first say, my name is Robert Dorsey. I was Born and raised in one of the smallest states in the country, and that state is Delaware. My parents both did a number in my upbringing. I was raised to be smart, and to never take anything that didn’t seem right to me. I was brought up around much struggle, but my parents did an excellent job in keeping it from me and my older sister. Although, growing older brings in struggles of its own. I am a newly turned 21 year-old and so far I love it. My age has definitely brought a maturity and wisdom to my craft. In 2005, I graduated from Delcastle Technical High school with an exemplary degree in electronics. All through my high school career I would shy away from crowds, but keep a pretty good size group of friends. I still associate with a few. Even though I didn’t remain the center of attraction in school, I love grabbing the room’s attention now. I love to be in control, especially with a microphone in my hand. That’s what being an MC is all about right; master of ceremonies and mic controller. I am now in anticipation awaiting my first event with V.I.P. Talent Connect. Just as soon as I reviewed everything offered through this company, I had no choice but to enroll. I am an aspiring rapper. My dream, really, is to be an entertainer/ motivator. I also try to educate all who listen to me. Life has handed me plenty obstacles, but I try to stay modest about everything and believe God blessed me to deliver a message. I don’t try to preach to people or anything, I just speak to people in a way where they can understand me, and so that I can at least let them know that someone understands what’s going on. This is where a lot of my music comes from; learning how to deal with pain and life beating you down almost everyday. My work ethic is crazy. Even fresh off of a car accident I continue to do my computer cabling job, which consists of pulling wires through the ceiling and heavy lifting. It puts me in an immense amount of pain every day, but I have a will and I can’t sit down on it. I really don’t like to show weakness, so I do everything I can, even though doctors tell me to take it slow. My will tells me to push it to the limits. People want to tell me that I will never be 100% again. You know I want to make this clear. I wasn’t 100% before this accident, but the pain I’m going through now, and the road that I’m taking is inspiring me to take myself further than I have ever been. I have been writing for about 8 years, and recently put together my own studio. I now make my own beats as well as create my own songs to keep my style completely original. I know with the right opportunity, combined with my work ethic, and would put me in the fast lane to making my dreams come true. My Drive comes from my parents. I feel like I owe them the world. They got me and my sister out of the rough neighborhoods, and made sure we did well in school. Even though I did hit a rough patch around middle school, I bounced back in high school. I just want to be able to make their life better like they did mine. I can guarantee that this industry isn’t just about money or fame or power for me. I have my heart set on reaching and teaching people through my music. Getting paid for it is just a plus, and I really wouldn’t mind the fame. But all in all, this is for my family, and everyone else who is going through something that just needs somebody who seems like they have been listening in on their life. Just wants to not feel like an outcast. If you want to be weird I will be weird right along with you. That’s my drive, and that’s why I have become the person I am today. I want to thank V.I.P. Talent Connect for allowing me this chance, and I just want to make it my obligation to make everyone who helps, and believes in me, proud. Thank you for your time.
