"Homegrown talent"

'They've refocused their usual bass, drums and (guitar) sound to appropriately folky acoustic guitar arrangements wrapped around their original songs.
Both Joel Morelli and Rob Elder are past winners of the Georgian Bay Folk Society's Last Chance Saloon, which earned them previous main stage spots at Summerfolk. With Devlin, who accompanied Elder at his festival gig, the three won the event together last spring to secure this weekends main stage spot'

Rob has considered himself a musician since he first figured out how great the bottom of moms pots and pans could sound! He took to the drums like a fish to water and played in so many different bands it would be hard to list them all! As he grew older he realized he wanted more, so he began to play guitar and write songs at a feverish pace! To this date Rob has won several songwriter competitions, played in pubs and cafe's all over Ontario, and was featured at "Summerfolk", one of the biggest Folk Festivals around... not once, but twice in the last four years!! Amazingly enough, he also still plays drums in two bands and was on the short-list for the "North by North East Festival" just a few short years ago with his band "Pipedream"! Rob lives in Toronto now, after being raised in rural Ontario, and is thriving in the local music scene. He hosts a popular, weekly open mic and plays in many of the most happening Toronto music venues! Rob has a strong blues background and an ear for folk/pop that makes his music a treat for any and all music lovers! He is all energy, heart and laughter when on stage, and not one person can get away without smiling or at least following along with his stories of love and love lost. It is possible that there is not a more interesting, or exciting, solo musician on the scene today!
