Biography

Roberta Medley is an Indie-folk band that is based in Madrid.
Its main influences come from the Sixties, including bands such as The Zombies, The Hollies and The Beatles as well as bands from the Seventies such as The Carpenters or Carole King. Belle&Sebastian, The Cranberries, Kings of Convenience, Travis, She&Him, God help the girl and Camera Obscura among others are some of the contemporaneous bands that also have an influence on our style.

In addition to these inspirations, Roberta Medley’s music also brings reminiscences of Irish and Balkan music.

In spite of this apparent eclecticism, Roberta Medley retains homogeneity in its sound, with the melody playing a predominant role in the band’s sound, joined by the instruments and the voices that contribute to its expression of positive energy.

The number and identity of the members of the band is never revealed because… who indeed is Roberta Medley? Upon reading this description, you may imagine her sound, her performance on stage, but the only real way to ascertain her identity is to see her performing live.
